The nursing major is a very enriched major and can be applied to each of Boyer and Carter’s ideas. It seems to be generally narrow but has quite a few courses that help students prepare for fieldwork and line up their credit requirements, which Boyer says is the perfect example of an enriched major. The curriculum here at UNE puts students in a place where they are prepared for when they’re actually out in field whether that be in their clinical work or after they have graduated and passed their boards and are licensed nurses, the benefits of having this enriched major will follow them.
